Terms of Service

The terms governing use of Showli.

Last updated

Showli is an online software service operated from Türkiye. These Terms form an agreement between you and Showli, referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”. Showli is not represented as an incorporated company.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

You must be at least 18, have legal capacity to enter an agreement, and comply with applicable law. By creating an account or using Showli, you agree to these Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy.

2. Accounts

Provide accurate information, keep credentials and recovery methods secure, and promptly tell us about unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts used unlawfully, deceptively, abusively, or in a way that threatens the service.

3. Plans and pricing

Starter is free. Pro is offered at $7.99 per month or $59 per year; the annual price is lower than twelve monthly periods. Taxes, exchange costs, or payment-provider fees may apply. Prices may change prospectively, but an already activated paid period remains governed by the agreed price unless law requires otherwise.

4. Billing, activation, cancellation, and refunds

Pro activation is currently administered manually after a payment request is reviewed. Showli does not currently automatically charge or renew subscriptions. If activated, Pro remains available through the approved paid period unless access is suspended for a serious breach or legal/security reason.

You may request cancellation before a future paid period. Refunds after activation are not guaranteed, except where applicable law requires a refund or withdrawal right. Mandatory consumer rights override conflicting terms. Integrated payment processing may be introduced later with clear updated terms before use.

5. Creator profiles and domains

You control information published on your public profile, including your showli.co username, portfolio, services, brands, testimonials, social links, availability, and custom domain. You must keep it accurate and lawful. We may remove or restrict unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, or unsafe content.

You must own or control any connected domain and are responsible for DNS changes. Connecting a domain does not transfer ownership. Hosting and DNS providers may take time to propagate or issue HTTPS certificates, and we cannot guarantee their timing. We may disconnect a domain for abuse, security, operational, or legal reasons.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Showli a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license only to host, store, process, display, transmit, resize, back up, and otherwise operate that content as needed to provide and secure the service. This is not a transfer of ownership.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for your content, including images, testimonials, logos, and linked materials. Contact us regarding alleged intellectual-property infringement; we may request information needed to assess and act on a report.

7. Inquiries and creator responsibilities

Visitors may send contact and project information to creators through Showli. Showli provides the technical channel; the creator is responsible for professional responses and for any off-platform use of inquiry data or agreement reached with a visitor.

8. Projects, client access, files, and messages

Pro tools may include projects, private client access links, external file links, deliverables, status tracking, and project messages. Participants must keep private links and tokens secure and share them only with intended recipients. Users remain responsible for linked files, messages, commitments, and collaboration decisions.

Messages may be stored and processed to deliver the workspace, support security, investigate abuse, and comply with law. Spam, harassment, illegal content, and misuse of client links are prohibited.

9. External creator-client payments

Showli does not currently act as a payment processor, merchant of record, escrow provider, bank, financial institution, employer, agency, or guarantor for creator-client transactions. Creators may provide external payment methods or links. Showli may record payment status, references, and uploaded receipts for project administration.

A “Paid” status is informational and manually recorded or reviewed unless a future integration expressly says otherwise. The creator, client, and external payment provider are responsible for the underlying transaction. Disputes remain between them unless Showli must assist by law.

10. Feature availability

Features and limits may evolve. We may make reasonable changes, replace features, or discontinue parts of the service. We will communicate material changes affecting a paid subscription appropriately. No feature is promised permanently.

11. Third-party services and verification

Showli relies on providers for hosting, databases, storage, authentication, email delivery, domain infrastructure, identity verification, and anti-abuse security. Their systems and terms may affect availability. External links and creator-selected payment services are controlled by their respective operators.

Optional government-identity checks are performed by Didit. The public Verified badge is granted only after Showli separately reviews whether the profile authentically represents the person or professional identity it claims to represent, or after an authorized manual authenticity review supported by strong evidence. Verification is not an endorsement and does not verify services, qualifications, portfolio content, social-account ownership, work quality, payments, transaction safety, or outcomes. Verification may be rejected, require renewed review, or be revoked for misleading claims, fraud, account compromise, abuse, or security reasons.

12. Availability and maintenance

Showli is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, provider failures, security events, internet conditions, and events outside reasonable control may affect access.

13. Suspension and termination

We may restrict features, remove content, suspend, or terminate access for Terms or policy violations, illegal conduct, fraud, abuse, security risk, nonpayment, or expired Pro access. Expiration normally returns an account to available Starter features without intentionally deleting lawful stored content. We preserve legal rights and handle retained data under the Privacy Policy.

14. Account deletion and retention

You may request account deletion by contacting us. We may verify identity and retain limited security, legal, dispute, financial-history, or audit records where reasonably necessary or legally required. Some deleted data may remain temporarily in backups before normal deletion cycles complete.

15. Disclaimers

Showli supplies software tools, not legal, tax, financial, employment, agency, or business advice. We do not guarantee that creators will gain clients, that clients will respond or pay, or that any project will achieve a particular result. You are responsible for evaluating counterparties and professional obligations.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Showli is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service, third-party services, user content, or creator-client dealings. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

17. Responsibility for claims

Where legally permitted and proportionate, you are responsible for losses or third-party claims caused by your unlawful content, infringement, fraud, or material breach of these Terms. This does not override protections or rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections that apply in their place of residence. Courts and authorities with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes; mandatory consumer procedures remain available.

19. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated appropriately and will take effect on the stated date. Continued use after that date indicates acceptance where legally permitted; where additional consent is required, we will request it.
